Andrea Hartwell

Andrea is a former practicing attorney who is dedicated to the success of her candidates. Before joining Swan Legal Search in 2014, Andrea practiced law at Seyfarth Shaw, where she focused on complex commercial litigation, and at Weintraub Tobin, where she worked on corporate transactions. Having been on the other side, Andrea understands the demands that attorneys face, and she's dedicated to finding the right fit for each of her candidates.

Andrea takes the time to get to know her candidates and is a guide and mentor throughout the entire process. Having focused on West Coast legal recruiting for a decade, Andrea leverages her legal market knowledge to position her candidates for success. She considers her candidate's short-term and long-term goals, practice area interests, and desired lifestyle to establish a foundation for her search.

Aside from work, you can find Andrea outdoors - rain or shine - with her kids, spouse, and beloved dog. You can also occasionally find her speaking about the California legal market at her undergraduate alma mater, UC Berkeley, or commenting on legal job trends for the media.
