6149 - National law firm with over 900 attorneys seeks an environmental associate (2006-2007) with a strong regulatory background, including significant experience with federal and state air permitting, RCRA hazardous waste management, federal and state enforcement defense and administrative hearings, auditing, due diligence and transactional experience in the mining, chemicals and energy sectors. Experience with contaminated site remediation, water permitting, NEPA/CEQA, Proposition 65, renewable energy project development and energy regulatory work is a plus. Environmental and/or toxic tort litigation experience is also a plus, but the position will focus primarily on regulatory work. Some experience in environmental consulting and climate change is a plus. California bar is required.
